This book was a cute coming-of-age story! It was a little different than what I am used to reading from Wendy Mass, simply because the characters are older so it deals with some heavier issues. However, it would be a great beach read because although I was emotionally connected to the story, it didn't make me cry. -- I really enjoyed the insight this book gave into how we often assume what other people are thinking very inaccurately. We all think weird thoughts randomly, too. I liked how this book showed that! -- The reason I gave this book 4 stars rather than 5 is mostly characterization. There was quite a bit of character development, thank goodness, but at the beginning of the book Josie & her friends slightly annoyed me. They acted younger than 15. Overall however, I really enjoyed this book!
