Oh my god, this was truly, heart-warmingly good. I loved Asha & Jake so much.

Find this review and more at kimberlyfaye reads. I've wanted more from the Masters of Love world since finishing the first book ages ago. I had sky high expectations for Professor Feelgood and Leisa exceeded them. I was obsessed with this book once I started. Like, sacrificed-at-least-three-steps-in-my-morning-routine-in-favor-of-reading-more obsessed. It was hard not to try to sneak in a few pages between tasks at work. I couldn't wait to get home so I could finish it. This book was definitely of the "drop all the things" variety. I loved every minute of it. Professor Feelgood was the perfect combination of tropes, while still having an identity all its own. Asha and Jake's story totally tugged at my heartstrings. I'm a sucker for a good slow burn, but I pretty much wanted to smush these two together and find a way to force them to admit their feelings. Their chemistry was amazing and, even in the rocky beginning and once more information came out, I was all about them. Their past wasn't pretty and there was plenty of hurt to overcome, but they were just so freaking right together. I loved everything about this book. It made me smile and laugh. It also totally made me cry. Both Jake and Asha were amazing characters. I loved learning more about them and their past, as well as seeing how they grew and forgave during this story. Their story was so beautiful it almost hurt. Jake's poems were hot and sexy and so very romantic. But they were nothing compared to what was to come. Oh, my feels. My heart.  Can I give Professor Feelgood more than five stars? Seriously? It should get ALL THE STARS. It's a totally gorgeous book. I swear, I highlighted roughly 1/4 of the book because the words were so perfect and spoke to me the way they did. I had a tough time deciding which quotes to highlight below, so I might've gone a little overboard. (I also don't care.) With all of its swoons and feels, it's easily one of my top reads of 2018. This one absolutely has to be on your TBR. I received a complimentary copy of this book for review consideration. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. FAVORITE QUOTES "I want to slide my tongue over yours until you understand all the reasons I love you that I can't put into words." I agree that we all have our issues, but telling someone to get over it is pointless. Some events are written in permanent ink on our psyche, and no amount of mental scrubbing will erase them. I want to be immune to how his poems make me feel, but there's something about him pining over a woman like a lovesick fool that I have zero defense against.  Does heartache always stop you in your tracks? Does it bend time and take you back to the moment when someone punched a person-shaped hole in your chest? "What happened to us, Ash? We used to think we'd be friends forever. We dreamed so big it hurt our brains. And now... The biggest thing we have in common these days is our anger, and I have no goddamn clue how to change that." How is it possible to feel so many conflicting emotions about a single person? How can I love him and hate him at the same time? How can I want to never see him again and want to beg him to never leave my side? "If I'm going to have regrets, I want it to be about things I've done, not things I wish I had." They say you can never go home again, but that's not true. You can, but you'll always be astounded by how small everything seems. And even when what I feel for him shakes me to my very foundation, I know one thing for certain: I could read every romance novel on earth and still not find a tale as compelling, satisfying, and passionate as the one I'm living. The story of us.
