A delightful cozy mystery with a twist. There is lots of heart and humor. It is clever and the sheep are wonderfully developed characters with ovine ways of thinking and perceiving the world. I enjoyed this so much. There are plenty of suspects and secrets in the village.

Way to cute for my frame of mind at the moment. I thought it would be about a detective who owned sheep. Instead, the sheep are the detectives. I wasn't up to a sheep named Miss Maple who was solving the mystery of the dead sheepherder. Will probably revisit one day when I am more receptive.
