A still relevant play questionning the morale of those terrorists Key words: theatre, French literature, terrorism, philosophy, justice, play The fastidious assassins is a French play written by Albert Camus in the twentieth century and has been inspired by real events. It is a very interesting work. It shows the characters, the terrorists, doubting their ideology when something that wasn’t plan happens. It is a very short and easy read, that you could read at once. The whole play shows how the characters thought about their actions and how they justified it. It is centred around questions of belief, passion right and wrong and not around the event per se. It is very interesting to see that, even though they murder someone, they do not kill blindly but answer to a certain morality. And I think that is why I didn’t hate the characters, I even found them quite human in a way. Especially Dora and Yanek who are the ones showing their feelings. Their thoughts are still relevant today. I recommend this play, even if you are not used to reading play this one is quite easy and short so perfect to start. 4/5
