The other side of the mountain with color maps. This book is unique because we: 1. Replaced the black and white maps with higher-resolution color maps. 2. Included photographs of the areas described in the text. 3. Included photographs of the weapons mentioned in the text. 4. Increased the book size to 8 1/2 by 11 making it easier to read. The book complements Les Grau's previous book, "The Bear Went Over the Mountain." It is a compilation of Mujahideen combat actions against Soviet forces during the Soviet-Afghan War. The 92 vignettes with maps include operational graphics in full color are arranged chronologically and assembled topically, based on type of action, into 14 chapters. The cost of the book is due to the fact that it simply costs more to print a 430 page book in color. We feel color maps are necessary to truly understand what the Mujahideen did and why they were successful. We include a Table of Contents on the back cover for quick reference. We print these paperbacks as a service so you don't have to. The books are compact, tightly-bound paperback, full-size (8 1⁄2 by 11 inches), with large text and glossy covers. 4th Watch Publishing Co. is a SDVOSB.
