Sometimes I felt like I couldn’t breathe, like I was drowning in myself.

Like me, he liked poetry. Unlike me, he always believed in me.

It was like I’d become a ghost without having to go through the messy intermediate step of actually dying.

For some people bad things happening brings them together. We were the other kind of people.

I just wanted to be somebody else, I didn’t care who. Sometimes I felt like I couldn’t breathe, like I was drowning in myself.

There was a desperate edge to the joking, but we couldn’t seem to stop.

fun little short story, the writing still felt a little meh but the idea and execution were fun.

If X-men were run by the government, it would be this book.
