After reading some reviews I came into this with pretty low expectations, and thankfully they were far surpassed. I loved Noelle and felt so deeply for her, her family, Charlie and Theo, and Sam and his family. It’s rare to be that invested in so many characters in this genre. While I do wish there were longer/more Sam/Noelle interactions it did feel like a natural progression. Obviously lots of it is very fate-based, cheesy stuff, so if you don’t enjoy that this probably won’t be for you!

i loved the idea and thought the book was really well written, however… i felt like a lot of the scenes had no real point and at times i felt like i was just reading words but they had no real importance to the plot. plus as much as i do love sam’s and noelle’s relationship, it seemed rushed at times (yes the point is that fate keeps pushing them together) but when they finally confessed their feelings, i’m not sure if i was totally convinced myself. never the less, i really did enjoy it and i <3 sam

3.75 stars. This was a cheery little quick read, basically a Hallmark novel. I liked the growth of characters and twists and turns of fate, but in general lacked a little spark for me. I think I just wanted to have a little bit more interaction betwe n the main characters. 

This was essentially the movie Serendipity in book form! Would recommend for a very quick, feel good, cutesy read

This was such a cozy cheesy Hallmark type romance. It actually does not take place during the holidays but it definitely had that vibe.

After a miserable high school reunion, Noelle finds herself trapped in a blizzard with a perfectly gentle stranger Sam. They spend 8 perfect hours together and it seems like they could be so much more. But then the roads cleared up and Noelle went to her home in England, and Sam drove to the airport back to his home in America. Except chance kept bringing these two back together. Both of them have a complicated relationship status with other people, and Noelle especially cannot shake the feeling that her meeting Sam is not a coincidence, especially when he shows up for her time and again.

Through this romance novel, the author addresses moving forward, self-discovery, being there for family and friends where it matters, and letting go of expectations that no longer serve. I loved how the author adressed mental health issues in such a candid way and talked about families needing external support as well.

Ultimately this romantic novel reminded me very much of the Netflix "Christmas Inheritance" movie, or even "Leap Year".

If you are looking for a fluffy cozy romance I encourage you to pick this one up. It will not disappoint.

In one word, I found this book: sweet. We have a main character going through, what I think, are very real and relatable struggles of figuring out who she is. She's toeing the line of selflessness and independence in everything that's happening, from her relationship to her mom, to her past romantic relationship, to her potential future one, to her identity and career. For me, this struck a really nice balance to the fantastical element of "fate" and her meeting Sam again and again. Those real relationship conflicts keep the story moving forward and around the more magical-feeling components. Fate and timing are, of course, key to this story, but I enjoyed that we didn't go too far into the realm of magical realism. I enjoyed the character development and writing, and would say this is worth the read!
