I almost didn't quite finish... almost

Reading this book it got off to such a promising start! Helena is a strong-willed, defy the odds and create your own destiny type of girl! 

The renovation of a magical house was filled with possibilities and vivid details. The picture painted and the attachment to the house seemed very justifiable. 

I love the way the plot was going, with secret hidden artifacts, other secrets still yet to be revealed to the other characters that we as an audience are clued in on but on the edge of our seats wondering what will be revealed. 

The downfall for me was the promising plot was too overshadowed by over the top erotic scenes and when I say a new take on a love triangle... its understated. I think although a usual who will she end up with is desired, what could be and where it could go is not only slightly gross in some aspects but it's taking away from what could be an exciting second book where the supernatural worlds could be changed forever as they know it.


I left this book for a few weeks and was about to give up when  I realised I had three pages to finish, I was glad to have completed it, if not a little underwhelmed at the rushed and lack luster ending. Hopefully we get an opportunity for the next book to redeem the storyline and take us on the turbulent battle of the supernatural worlds we all want and hate to love!
