This is a must read for fans of psychological thrillers like Behind Closed Doors and The Last Mrs. Parrish. In this one, Joe uncovers layer upon layer of lies that his wife has been telling him and a reader will not be able to truly comprehend how many lies are in this man's life. His whole world is unraveling. Will he be able to save his future and his freedom? I highly recommend this one. I borrowed this book from the public library.

OMG, This book was full of plot twists i loved it. I enjoyed every page of it. This is definitely worth reading.

To be honest, i was sceptical about it at first, cause this is my first time reading TM Logan and i am much more a Stephen King kind of person and very stubborn but i just trusted my instincts (and the book was included in kindle unlimited) so all roads lead me to download it and give a shot. I am not sorry on the contrary very pleased to discover new author. Yeah, that will be all for this comment, thanks.

I really, really loved this book. My first by T.M. Logan, but definitely not my last. I was completely engrossed in this story of a man trying to uncover truths and falsehoods in relationship to his marriage and his life.

Very suspenseful.

I highly recommend it.

One his way home one day Joe makes a detour at his son's request when they see his wife's car. This detour causes Joe to see a confrontation with his wife and a her friend's husband that starts to make him question a few things. Upon confronting the husband, it got a little physical. This physical confrontation leads to Joe wondering if he has accidentally committed murder. That is until this husband ends up trying to frame him for his murder. 
This book does a great job at making you think about how well you know anyone in your life. How many times someone has lied to you. How well people are at acting. 
I knew one of the characters was lying from the very beginning. I was correct in that but it did not in any way ruin the surprise twist at the end. I was impressed and also thought it was a good twist as well. I love how I was correct with on character but still lead on completely by another. 
I liked Joe as a character but he could also be a little dumb and bland.
His wife was very annoying the entire time and her excessive use of *kiss kiss kiss* or XXX (I read this via audio) at the end of every text she sent drove me crazy and made me roll my eyes constantly. 
The audiobook was pretty good route to enjoying this story. It was not a full cast but it was still well read.

2018 really has had an amazing start with the psychological thrillers and Lies is no exception. Joe and Mel have been happily married for 12 years and never lie to each other, right? When Joe stumbles across his wife driving into a hotel car park while she's supposed to be at work, he's intrigued enough to follow her in. It is where all Joe's problems begin because he quickly ends up in a fight with Ben, the husband of Mel's best friend Beth. However, when Joe goes to check on Ben later on he has disappeared. Things get worse for Joe when he starts receiving emails and text messages from Ben saying he's going to make Ben pay. Told from Joe's point of view we follow him as he tries to prove his innocence. I loved the twists and I didn't see the ending coming. I am so keen to read more from T.M. Logan and see what he writes next!

What I loved about this book: the twists, the panic and anticipation on I felt throughout, the character development, the unreliable narrator

What I didn’t love about the book: it’s really forgettable and I’m worried in about a week I’ll forget what this book is about. 

Maybe I’ll change my mind later, I’m going to come back and check my rating in about 3 months and see if I still think about this book at all... but I finished fit last night and I’m worried I won’t remember it!

I can't even begin to explain how much I liked this book. Can't even begin. I will admit that I went into reading Lies, thinking that this book was going to be an ordinary mystery. Then I started reading the book and well, I was proven wrong, This book is anything but ordinary.

Lies had a simple plot. Joe sees his wife going into a hotel parking lot. Seeing that she is supposed to be at work, he follows her. He ends up witnessing her arguing with a family friend. Breaking them up, the friend turns on Joe and tries to start a fight. Forced to defend himself, Joe knocks the friend unconscious. Before he could get help for him, Joe's son has an asthma attack...which requires Joe to go home to get his inhaler. Returning, he finds that his friend has disappeared. Strange things start happening that culminate with the police charging Joe with murder. But everything is not what it seems. The truth is more sinister than what Joe expected.

I felt awful for Joe. His life was destroyed within a week. I did think that his reaction to what was going on was pretty dead on for an ordinary guy. His confusion over everything came off the pages. Even his actions started showing how erratic he was becoming. I love it that the author took him to the edge and then pulled him back. I won't say what pulled him back. But I will say that it was brilliant. 

The mystery angle of the book was excellently written. I did figure out part of what was going on. I thought it was the whole thing. But, then the major plot twist happened and it seemed like it came out of left field. There is a smaller, minor plot twist that happens almost after the major one. It only added to the story. It was also sad. 

The suspense angle of the book was awesome. I was with Joe, wondering who was tormenting him.

The end of the book was insane. Like I mentioned above, there was a plot twist that blew my mind. I didn't see it coming. But, the author also touched on what happened afterward. Which is something that I don't see too often in books like these. I was glad that the author chose to do that. It gave me the closure that I needed.

What I liked about Lies:

A) How intense the book was

B) Joe. 

C) The plot twist

What I disliked about Lies:

A) Nothing, the book was very well written

I would give Lies an Adult rating. There is no sex. But there are sexually explicit pictures and talk. There is violence. There is language. I would suggest that no one under the age of 21 read this book.

There are trigger warnings for Lies. They are stalking and death.

I would reread Lies. I would also recommend this book to family and friends.
