This book is very different than Chelsea’s other books. But it really spoke to me and the journey I’ve been on since I turned 40. You really get to know her in a new way and still laugh out loud.

I haven’t read a lot of them, they are not my favourite thing to read but there are some I really enjoy. I’m also waiting for Emma Watson to write one. .

I never watched Chelsea’s E network show, but I loved her social issues Netflix show and documentary. My favourite episode is when she goes to Russia, I always put that on for a laugh lol. .

This memoir is not comical like I was expecting. It is sort of her writing about what she experienced in therapy and how she tried to grow and learn from the issues she had carried for so long. .

I really liked how she normalized therapy in this book, how she came to terms with that voice that says “you have everything why would you need therapy, why do you feel sad with all this privilege”. It was interesting and sad to learn about her childhood and the internal struggles she had. .

If you want a humorous memoir this one is probably not for you, however if you are a fan of Chelsea you will probably enjoy this one.

Not my fave Chelsea book - it wasn’t her typical funny sex or drugs stories. It dealt a lot more with serious topics (her brother’s death, her anxiety over Donald Trump’s presidency) but she tried to paint the topics in a funny way? I admired her vulnerability and I will say this was better than Amy Schumer’s Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo (which was, in my opinion, a horrible book).
