I'm a big fan of reverse harem and dark romance books. So, I signed up for an ARC the minute I learnt about it. And Lillith delivered on both.

The book kept in on the edge of my seat from start to finish. Fast-paced, the story grabs your attention and doesn't let go.

Lillia is kidnapped while working on fashion week in Milano. A Pakhan is looking for a wife -- and is determined to find one as beautiful and tough as a diamond. But having grown up in the mafia world and having spend her teenage years with her old but wise Russian grandma, Lillia is no stranger to dangerous men. And she's determined to escape -- even if one of her jailers is her ex-almost-lover who wants her dead.

Konstantin, Kirill and Elyah (which I'm not sure how to correctly pronounce?) are a totally different category of danger and sex appeal. Pakhan and his two best friends, they're the master minds behind the Pageant.

The game has begun. Question is -- who will survive till the end?

Konstantin, a Russian mob boss, decides the best way to find a wife is by throwing a *very unconventional* pageant. Sixteen women are kidnapped off the streets of Milan during Fashion week and are forced to compete to survive. His two associates Kirill and Elyah are there to facilitate the process. When one contestant is eliminated before the competition begins, Kirill kidnaps our FMC Lilia to serve as the replacement. Little does he know, Lilia and Elyah have a complicated past. Elyah is convinced that Lilia betrayed him, and he vows to execute her before the competition is through. Things don’t go as planned for either of them..

Lilia is so strong and clever yet vulnerable. The men are vicious, violent, and cold, yet Lilia manages to crack each of their exteriors in small ways. The flashbacks to Lilia and Elyah’s pasts are heart wrenching and honestly my heart broke for them both!

This book leaves off on a cliffhanger. I’m DYING to see where this story goes next!

This one isn’t for the faint of heart - copious violence and cruelty towards women, pregnancy loss, kidnapping/captivity, gun play, somnophilia, and others. Proceed with caution.
