At it’s core- a mafia romance. I’ve eject read a mafia romance, I always found them to be beyond the realm of believability for me. Midnight Poppyland SOMEHOW manages to remain grounded and believable while never lowering the stakes or dropping the tension. Every character development, or lack of relationship development, is fully understandable and within the reality built with their backstory. 
Am I dying for a kiss? For more? YES! But every set back or hesitation the characters exhibit isn’t just a slow burn obstacle, it’s a totally plausible hang up or character building moment. 
Every new chapter makes the characters more real and more complex while continuing their journey together. I really hope this story isn’t ending anytime soon. And I say that while doubting the story will get stale and continue only for popularity sake. This story has so far it can go and maintain its entertainment value. This is a ride I’m excited to continue.
