I started out with high hopes for this book. The first chapter or so was really good, well written and free of trite Christian clichés. Then it all fell into line with what a good Christian novel should be. The characters behaved as Christian characters should. By that I mean, if a character was supposed to be a reprobate, he went all out in all the typical ways. Everything unfolded as it should in a good Christian way, unrealistic and disappointing. This book does not survive the purge.
