Merc is tall, deadly and about as chatty as the extinct dodo!!!! But what he lacks in conversation he makes up for in accuracy, loyalty and professionalism. We eventually see why Merc has retreated within himself and my heart broke a little for him! Caroline Cotter was kidnapped from her own wedding by the eponymous Mr J (that man will not die!!!),Now trapped in a palace somewhere in the Middle East, Caroline is losing all hope. But the Deadly Nightshade is on the hunt for her twin and no big n burly man is going to thwart her rescue! Deception, doppelgangers and convoluted plans all share front of stage in this great book! I love the Mercy Men and the feisty gals they choose (or who choose them!!) With a healthy does of laughter, along with sizzling passion and a tight storyline - there is nothing lacking in this wonderful novel!
