If that wasn't the definition of Christmas, I didn't know what was. Making new memories and reliving old ones, all wrapped around each other like layers of wrapping paper.

My First Lindsey Kelk Book and another Holiday Romance book and I was not disappointed at all with one so much so that I finished it in 3 days and had an enjoyable time reading it and getting lost in the story and reliving Gwen’s Christmas repeatedly!

Gwen Barker always thought her life was going great until recently. Her long-time boyfriend cheated on her, and she had to move out of his house, she's on leave from her high-pressure job as an attorney due to an unfortunate incident with a client. She goes home to celebrate Christmas with her family and after a very eventful Christmas day, she wakes up to find that she's living the day yet again. And then again. As Gwen tries to change things and to discover who might have made a wish to have this happen, she realizes that maybe the person she needs to focus on is herself.

This is Laugh out loud book and at the same time is deep and meaningful all about what it means to be happy and live a fulfilling life! I really enjoyed all the characters in this one and throughout the book Gwen learns something about all of them and through her many Christmases helps each of them to get a better understanding of them all.

An entertaining read, including a dash of potential romantic connections, family feuds, and a lot of shenanigans that added to the ‘joy’ of the holiday, along with other moments that offered insights into long-term family misunderstandings, as well as resolutions.

It’s not just a romance book. In fact, I don’t think I’d call it a romance book at all. This books follows the story of a person recognising the hardships that come within family dynamics, whilst simultaneously figuring out what she wants from her life. It’s a beautiful take on family, and although the pop-culture references were too common for me, I think it’s great for anyone whose wanting an easygoing Christmas book without too much preachy-ness in it!
