Carrow finally has the opportunity to open up her own business and cement her place inside the walls of the Guild City. The only problem is that she still is not a part of any guilds so she is constantly worrying about that. When she gets her first customer, dark secrets about the City she loves are revealed. Now, she is on a race against the clock as a deadly curse threatens one of her loved ones. Once again, she must make a Deal with the devil, her cursed mate, in order to save the city. 

I absolutely loved reading this book. Carrow grows even more as a person during every book, and it is a beautiful process to read about. I think that the Shadow Guild series is one of my favorites from Linsey Hall. Five stars!

This is a very low 4 star for me. I enjoyed the new characters introduced in this book, and I can appreciate the plot for revealing something that would have been great had I not already known due to me reading the spin-off series first. So my biggest issues with this one are entirely unique due to reading the other series first. However, I also both enjoyed and disliked the scene in here where the romance develops more between Carrow and Grey, and what happens after. Without including spoilers I just want to say that it was initially satisfying, and then a letdown. I can only hope I enjoy the rest of the series a bit more, but it feels like it is getting stagnant for me. Especially because I have an idea as to what the major twists are. So my advice to everyone would be do not read the Hades and Persephone books before this series.
