I absolutely loved this new book by Linsey Hall. The writing was phenomenal, and Carrow is a much-needed distraction from the outside world. Something I liked the most about this book is how seamless it transitioned from Connor's book. The introduction into the Guild City was amazing and I loved seeing a certain vampire have the spotlight in this book. Once I started this book I could not put it down! I'm craving the second book and am anxiously waiting for it to be released. You know a book is good when it starts with the main character drinking wine out a box and talking to a raccoon. Once Bitten is a must-read for people who loved the characters from Magic Bend.
Well I read this out of order. I started with Infernal and Awakened from the secondary series about Hades and Persephone. So I already knew a little bit about guild city and the characters in this book. However, it is cool to read about the characters from the beginning instead of feeling like I'm missing out on information. I think this book isn't as well written as her following books, but I did enjoy the characters and the plot. I plan on continuing with the series, and I am hoping for some steamy scenes.
