Being Me

Being Me

Being Me is the second sensual adventure in New York Times bestselling author Lisa Renee Jones’s “totally swoon worthy” and “absolutely enthralling” (Under the Covers) Inside Out series. I arch into him, drinking in his passion, instantly, willingly consumed by all that he is and could be to me... Sara McMillan is still searching for Rebecca, the mysterious woman whose dark, erotic journal entries both enthralled and frightened her. Tormented by a strong desire to indulge the demands of her new boss while also drawn deeper into her passionate bond with the troubled artist, Chris Merit, Sara must face a past as deeply haunting as Rebecca’s written words. In one man’s arms, Sara will find the safe haven to reveal her most intimate secrets and explore her darkest fantasies. But is safety just an illusion, when the truth about Rebecca has yet to be discovered?

Quickie Review:
Being Me is the second book in the "Inside Out" series and we literally just pick up from where book one left off where our heroine, Sara, is feeling stalked in the storage locker of Rebecca and Chris comes to save the day and this is where there is a bit more focus on the journals of Rebecca and her experiences with bondage and two men. There is more unveiled revolving around the past between Chris and Mark and there is a bit more tension happening between Mark and Sara that happen here and Sara is still on the hunt for her best friend who has completely disappeared in France.

I honestly don't have any words on this one....I really don't want to spoil too much of what happens in this story, but we do get to know the secrets behind Mark and his connection to Rebecca and what a ENDING and crazy wild third act and a villain I NEVER saw coming. So wild and intense but I feel like there is so much more going to happen and be revealed and I honestly couldn't put this book down. What a wild page turner I was so consumed by.

If you love more sensual stories with a great plot and characters you can become addicted to....try out these books!

Rating: 3 Stars - Liked It One of the things I loved about Chris and Sara in If I Were You (Inside Out Trilogy #1) was their sexual tension. Have to say was not always feeling it in Being Me. They are a couple now or more less Chris believes she is his and Sara still on the defense side of belonging to anybody. What I loved about Being Me is the darker side of the sexy sporting tattoo, biker riding, famous artist Chris. Certain events and some of Sara actions have brought the darker side of Chris out. He keeps her at an emotional distance and does not want her a part of his dark life. Only the new life he has created with her. She needs all of him the good and bad. Sara has a thing about being controlled by others because of her past with an over controlling father. She can not tell the difference when Chris tries to protect her as she takes it as controlling her. This leaves to a lot of ups and down for them, but unfortunately was not feeling any kind of emotions from them. Finally got to know what happened to Rebecca, what happened between Mark and Chris that ruined their friendship. Being Me is more on the relationship of ups and downs with Chris and Sara. The mystery part to finding Rebecca was a hit and miss throughout the novel then bang got some answers. Now there is another mystery added as to what happened to her friend. I look forward to finding out more about Chris and his dark side in Revealing Us. ARC provided by NetGalley for an honest review. Originally posted at Wickedly Delicious Book Blog
