Gave me very Stolen vibes which is always a good thing

It was addictive from beginning to end. I loved the plot including the letters "Dear Birdie" got and the back stories of each woman. The layer of darkness was also highly interesting.

I was expecting a suspenseful online dating thriller with twists and turns however I just found this to be predictable and rushed, ESPECIALLY the ending. The ending was so shit. 
I enjoyed the start that is why I have given it three stars but I just don't know what happened.
Another element I didn't like was it being set early 2020 and hearing about the pandemic and humans consumption of technology and I felt the mc was extremely judgemental and 'im not other girls' about it all

After saying all this, this book hasn't put me off wanting to read Lisa Unger's other books and willing to try another one.

Predictable, too long, with characters that lacked depth. I was particularly frustrated by the main character's nonsensical decisions throughout.

What I thought this book was going to be: A girl/woman out for vengeance on a man who ghosted her after finding out about her dark secret.

What it was: Toxic romantic drama with a naive protagonist who chases her love interest even after she finds out he's dangerous. 

With all the hype surrounding this book last year, I had high expectations from this book as a thriller but this had way too much of romance and a toxic one at that. It starts out okay but then is one of the few books where the alternative timelines irritated me. The past is boring, a slow narration of the trauma Wren has gone through in her childhood. The writing is repetitive and strange ex:phrases like "solar plexus" is used a lot. 

What I did like (and added a star for) is the commentary on online dating. 

Overall, a disappointing read.
