Actual rating is 3.5 stars I received an ARC of this book and it was a really fun read! I’m a huge fan of dystopian books, so as soon as I saw the description for The Blood King, I knew it was something I needed to read. The characters were engaging and well developed, although at times their actions were a little too predictable. The plot was pretty typical for a dystopian novel, and at times was a bit too cliche. But, overall it flowed well. The characters were really driving this story, which I always appreciate in a book. I’m really glad I had the chance to read The Blood King. I had a great time reading this book. If you like dystopian stories, I’d recommend giving it a read!
