i forget what happened in this one but i told myself to rate it four stars when i read it so there's that

Another amazing KotLC book that left me wowed!! I'm still so amazed at how detailed the plot is for a middle grade book. I love all the twists and turns, mysteries, and Keefe's character development is great! I love all the characters and their friendships with each other. And something I'm now going to expect with the rest of the books are cliffhangers. It seems like every book is going to deliver more and more and I can't wait to continue getting more!

Previously, on Keeper of the Lost Cities, Keefe has joined the Neverseen and stolen Kenric's cache. In Lodestar, the fifth book in the series, Sophie finds Keefe sitting in Magnate Leto's office. Silveny is pregnant! Fintan is controlling the Neverseen, but will happen? What is the Neverseen doing? What is Keefe doing with the Neverseen? Does it have anything to do with Silveny? Find out in Keeper of the Lost Cities: Lodestar!

** spoiler alert ** “This is my swan song” Why Forklenator? Why they couldn’t kill Fintan?

The only thing that bothers me in her books it that there's so many things that happened that when I finished the book, I have a hard time remembering what happened. But aside from that, the book was a pleasant roller coaster of emotions, thought I was very annoyed that the more we were going through the story the more hopeless it was getting. There's not many happy moments in this book but it's still a good read. I'm excited for the next one which I'll be starting now.

“We shouldn’t pass judgment until we see how things play out. Actions never tell the whole story. Good can be done for the wrong reason. And bad can be misunderstood.” These books just get better and better! There are so many moving parts, each with their own little mysteries, you can’t help but get caught up in this story. Again, I didn’t guess/ expect any of the last 25% of this book playing out how it did. I love how Shannon Messenger always keeps me on my toes as a reader. Oh, and I love Keefe so much! 5/5⭐️

uh-huh. okay, i'll tell her. hi, shannon. it's dr elwin. he says to stop putting sophie in the hospital.

** spoiler alert ** That ending!!!

And the last twenty pages made me cry

I really enjoyed this book in this series. I liked the pacing of this novel and also the "group" of characters that this book focused in. I also liked the various side plots that made this even more complicated. I really liked how this book expanded the world and made it a even more complicated situation. I thought Keffe path was super compelling and also liked how we are learning more about dex and his family. I found this to be fast pace engaging read and will def read the next one soon!

How does this series get better with every single book? I don't think I will ever tire of reading about Sophie! This book exceeded all of my expectations. I felt like it matured a lot, which I really appreciated as it feels like, as the reader, I'm following Sophie on her maturity journey, which is really sweet. As for this love square/triangle that is going on...I know Sophie is going to date Fitz; I feel it; however, I truly believe that Keefe is the one, and it showed throughout this book (No one can change my mind!). Or maybe I think Foster-Keefe is the best team ever. That ending had me; I guessed it from the beginning; however, I didn't expect someone to be left behind, which was a nice but also painful surprise; I feel bad for Sophie. Also, I did not see the death of (view spoiler)[ Mr Forkle (hide spoiler)] coming. I honestly felt as if I would dramatically begin crying into the book because I didn't want it to happen or expect it to happen. As always, this book blew my mind, made me smile and ugly cry. It was amazing, and I would experience it all again in a heartbeat.
