So much WILD shit went down in this book: ineffective pirates, lots of platonic kissing, swearing oaths on goats, villains of literally no consequence, and pretty mild godly shenanigans. I wish our young, dumb lovers were more than young and dumb, but it feels unfair to ask for character development from an ancient Greek novel.
