This was a fun reread. It's been so long since I read it, I didn't remember much about it at all. This book was quite a bit longer than it needed to be, since the roller coaster drama just keeps going, but it makes it more realistic, since relationships don't always tie up in a neat bow quickly in real life. Still, it's painful to read about when it goes on and on and makes you lose respect for Rebecca, since she just won't get it; even when she realizes what she needs to do, her actions still don't follow, or do for awhile and then swing back. We would have liked her better if she hadn't taken so long to stop being mean, but as it is, the reader is so exasperated by the end, it makes us want better for Travis.

It was a nice change from the introverted, brooding male character to having an introverted, brooding female character. Something to think about. One of my favorite aspects this time around was Travis and Robert's friendship.
