  THE STORY:
 

  Lisa
: City Love ended with quite a open-ending feeling. Becca and I were really looking forward to seeing what happened next for this group of girls. Lost in Love picks up exactly where City Love leaves off. And if you've read City Love, then you know it left off with allllll kinds of drama in that Manhattan apartment!! This group of girls experienced love in the city, as they had desired... but that love was filled with more drama than you'd see on the big screen! Relationships aren't easy, especially when you're trying to find yourself in the process. No parents, no rules, and the entire city of New York to spend your summer in = an entertaining beach read win!

: Very well said Lisa! After all of the drama in City Love, I was very eager to pick up Lost in Love and see where the adventures in NYC took these girls next. In case you haven't read City Love yet, I will share that both books are told from the 3 POVs of our 3 main characters Sadie, Darcy and Rosanna. Each is sharing the story of their Summer in the City before their freshman year of college. There are lots of ups and downs, lots of romantic happenings and also a story of finding true friendships :)
 

 
 
  THE CHARACTERS:
 

  Becca
: Since each girls is telling their own story, we get to know each of them very well. In City Love I saw them each in a certain way Rosanna the pessimistic, worrier, Sadie the happy, optimistic one and Darcy the fun loving free spirit. In Lost in Love, we really see other sides of each girl and I loved that! We see Darcy's vulnerable side, Sadie's darker side and Rosanna's fighting spirit (just a little but it is emerging). I really liked getting to know each girl better and I thought that Susanne Colasanti did an awesome job developing each of them even more. I liked how there was a bit less focus on the guys in their lives in this one (although that is a part of the story too), and more focus on each girl and how they interacted with one another. I have to say that Sadie is my favorite! Rosanna and Darcy have some flaws that had me eye rolling at times, but in truth, their differences is what makes this group of girls and their friendship really work :)

: I totally agree with Becca. Compared to City Love, this story focused much more on the girls and their growth, rather than simply the romances. I don't know that I could pick a favorite girl... I honestly loved them all!! Even Darcy, which is saying a lot. ;) They all did things that made me want to slap them... but what teenager doesn't?! I'm really pleased with how realistic and relatable this story turned out to be.
 
 
  TO SUM UP:

: Any issues I had with City Love seemed to be sucessfully quashed with Lost in Love. City Love left me wanting more... a LOT more, and luckily, Lost in Love gave that to me! I felt we got a much deeper story into these three friends and their lives, and I really appreciated that. This story was quite character-driven, which is always a plus for me. Overall, this was a cute, fun, entertaining read that's perfect for a day at the beach. You'll definitely need to read the first book though, or you'll miss wayyyyyy too much. So grab a copy of City Love, sit back, and soak up those rays while taking in the summer before college with these three strangers-turned-friends!

: My favorite part of this book was the Summer descriptions of NYC. I truly felt as if I was there and experiencing the sounds, the smells and ALL of the sights! I almost wanted to take notes on places to visit next time I go! It was truly magical!

I was quite surprised that this book had a very open ending and that there will be a third (and I believe final) book in the series. I will definitely be picking that one up because I need to see how the story ends for each girl in their relationships and their friendship :)

As Lisa said this was such a great Summer read! So light and breezy and fun! I really recommend it as a perfect beach read! The first one as well if you haven't read that yet!

Because of my love for the introduction of this trilogy, Lost in Love was at the tip top of my to-read list this spring. It did not disappoint–in fact, it is the perfect novel for any romantic to have on hand this summer. Susane Colasanti shows her writing chops again with a heartfelt summer adventure filled with romance and friendship and the age old questioning of those entering adulthood.

Back it again are our girls–Sadie, Darcy and Rosanna. Each girl faces a world of changes with the backdrop of New York City just in the distance. When we left them in City Love, the trio were navigating their new lives and new loves, all the while befriending one another and exploring their contrasting personalities.

Drama was at an abundance when it came down to a few flaws in their new lives. Sadie’s found her soulmate, Austin, only to discover he isn’t at all who she that he was–that he was keeping a huge secret from her. He’s married. When we meet up with Sadie again, our eternal optimist is struggling with their break up and needs time to get back into the right state of mind to deal with this news.
