** spoiler alert **
Quick tl;dr, take extra time for yourself and best quit your draining job.

Some assumptions in book are bit twisted, only if book want to describe damaging effects of capitalism.

I would say lot of tokenomics in web3 deny this book assumptions where anyone can create their dao and drive their own economy.

Book describes lots of exploitation of workers in favor of companies but I sense it's misses bigger picture of competition among human race. Which I sense rationale is about efficient and efficiency of resources of organization, whichever naturally leads to exploiting of workers (?)

Other than that, humans always choose in current era of abundance do something on their own.

I guess book more points on workers which will be soon out of job or who are doing marginally automatized jobs already yet they don't want to agree on that. That's how spirals society, paying higher those who adds value and exploiting those who aren't adding much sauce to their work.

Maybe is also good kick into UBI and how we are getting closer to reality of this.

>While this seems beneficial on the surface, many private groups are controlled by persons with close links to the state. In other words, wealthy individuals regulate the economy.

>More candidates are applying for jobs, and since there’s a lot of competition, private organizations exploit people’s desperate attempts to gain employment. These organizations offer low pay and unfair conditions because they know people are desperate to work. This then provides corporations with more power and flexibility to cut costs on many things.

>So, in essence, capitalism is based on the worker, who is cut off from the profits of production.

>The degree to which we have control over our jobs impacts how much joy or fulfillment we may get from them

>Capitalists promote employee-employer distrust. For example, their use of spy cameras exemplifies the mutual distrust created by capitalism's inequitable labor relations

>If you hire people just because they can do a job, they’ll work for your money. But if you hire people who believe what you believe, they’ll work for you with blood and sweat and tears.
