Living with the Newly Industrializing Countries

Report on trade relations trends and the role of developing countries in international markets - describes how developed countries (notably the EC countries) have reacted upon higher export volume growth rates of newly industrializing countries through setting up trade barriers and new forms of protectionism, and argues that sound international competition can better be achieved through GATT, production diversification, adjustment assistance, and appropriate trade policy and employment policies.
