Little Women is still my favorite book. The companions - Little Men and Jo's Boys - are brilliant as well. I first read Little Women in 4th or 5th grade and re-read it many times over the years. The characters are relatable and vivid and the time period is fascinating, especially for history nerds like myself. For those unfamiliar with the book, it is the story of four sisters - whom their father calls his "little women" - and their misadventures. They become friends with a boy named Laurie, and while he becomes a partner in crime, he also creates the inevitable love triangle. The story follow the group as they grow older and come into who they're meant to be.
