I was actually thinking of giving it a 2.5 rating but thought it wouldn’t justify how I enjoyed reading this so it’s really a 3 for me. Now onto the story, at first I was like “WTF am I reading?” I had no clue, no idea whatsoever what this was about. I admit the cover drew me in. I couldn’t relate to the setting at all at first. It was all weird to me... Grimbaud weirded me out quite a bit. As I went on though I learned to enjoy the town, the people and it’s obsession with love and love charms. I haven’t read a book with this kind of plot after all. However, let me tell you that there was no depth to the characters at all. The only one I sort of liked was Hijiri. I think she’s adorable. But that’s that.<br /><br />It’s not something I’d recommend tbh but it’s a really light read so if you’re looking for that then you might want to give this a shot.

At first I really didn't know where the story was going. I had a hard time relating to the characters and picturing the setting. But as the story continued, I just sort of stopped focusing on every little detail and just read the book for what it was.... a really good story. The plot was great and very creative, and I found many quotes that I wrote down because they were absolutely lovely. I gave this book 4 stars mostly because the plot was just very intriguing and towards the end I was eager to see what happened with Love and Zita. I don't know what I would do if a love fortune ruled my life and dictated my destiny. I'm pretty sure most people feel that way sometimes, but this book is a good reminder that it is simply out of our hands and will only happen when the time is right.
