Stars: 4 Spice: 3 MF | Standalone in series (book 4) | Triggers: Childhood SA, violence, torture It's been a while since I've been in the Sick Boys world, but I am happy to be back! Abel's obsession with Rylie has been brewing in the previous books, and their story did not disappoint. Rylie is a great character, and a nice change from the badass FMCs I'm used to reading. Don't get me wrong, I love a badass FMC, but Rylie is strong in her own way. She's brilliant, she's observant, and she's a survivor. She's been through unimaginable horrors as a child, and has been running ever since. Her past catches up with her in this book. What's different for her this time around is Abel. She's never had anyone to be in her corner before, and there's definitely a lot of back and forth if she wants to let him in. Wow, though the sparks between these two when she finally does are unbelievable. Abel… I swoon for that man! He's got his own set of demons, but they understand each other in ways no one else could. There's a little teaser for Brax's story at the end.. can't wait to find out what's in store for him!
