The Third Baseman

The Los Angeles Dodgers' Jupiter Reeves is the greatest third baseman of his generation, and he's surly and unapproachable, playing the bad boy of baseball. Actually, he's nothing more than a man who lost his heart too young to a woman whose whereabouts are unknown to him. He's offered the chance to switch to the New York Lions in exchange for tracking down the woman who's consumed him for fourteen years. Now that she's been located, Marnie Matthews wants nothing to do with Jupiter. His job is to win her back by the end of the season and to convince her to stay in New York with him.
