WE THREE HEROES

Lynette Noni

Alexandra Jennings might be the hero of the Medoran Chronicles, but she would be lost without her three closest friends. They are her strength, they are her hope, they are the reason she keeps fighting. To Alex, her friends are the real heroes, and like all heroes, they each have their own story. Meet the real D.C. in Crowns and Curses and discover how she becomes the princess Alex once despised but now adores. Follow Jordan on his healing journey in Scars and Silence as he struggles in the wake of being rescued from his living nightmare. Walk beside Bear in Hearts and Headstones as he faces an unspeakable trauma while helping his world prepare for the coming war. D.C., Jordan and Bear are the heroes of their own stories. It is time for their stories to be told.

Didn't like the narrators quite as much for these three novellas, and god was D.C's novella boring and repetitive! Jordan and Bear's stories definitely redeemed this.

Full review to come.

Like I’ve said before, I’m not one to read novellas. But I can admit that this was an important book to read as we gain a deeper insight into the lives of Alex’s best friends [D.C, Jordan and Bear]. However that didn’t stop me from speed reading the book so I could get back to the main story [Alex’s].

I didn’t cry while reading this book [which is surprising] but boy did it have a lot of heartbreak and grief! The most hard hitting for me was Jordan’s story as he tries to piece together his life after being released from Aven. The scene where he opens up to D.C is absolutely devastating as we learn more truths about his brother’s death. But it was beautiful to see the relationship between D.C and Jordan blossom 🌸 I’m not going to lie but Bear’s story wasn’t my favourite. It was definitely hard to read his reaction to his father’s death but prior to this it wasn’t the most in-depth story as compared to D.C’s and Jordan’s story.
