           I really love how Lynn Austin brought to live the character of King Hezekiah in this book.

I have always been fascinated by historical and Biblical fiction. It is a fine line to walk for authors to take characters from the Bible and expand upon their story. The idea of artistic license regarding Biblical figures often makes some people wary. Many authors fail in the attempt. Austin does not. Her characters are compelling, round, and dynamic. I really enjoyed this book and the other two in the series that I own. (I have yet to read the final two in the series. I like leaving it on a high note with Hezekiah since I know the unfortunate story of what comes with his son Manasseh.)
