I don’t really like reading plays, I would much rather see them on stage, but I had to read this for today’s class. I am so glad it was on our syllabus. I might have never read it if not.

𝘙𝘶𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘥 is a play that deals with so many different things in so little time. It takes place in a brothel in Congo. The women all have a difficult past and struggle to keep the control over the men who come to Mama Nadi’s. At the same time, the civil war situation in Congo has found a new battling ground.

I loved reading this play, and I would very much like to see it on stage.
