Welcome to Fate Hollow Academy, a place where supernaturals come together to train for war on humans. Humans and dragons alike had declared war in Kalista. Every supernatural must stand and fight, but would it be unified or did the dragon cult hold their allegiance? Dragons have been making alliances with other supernaturals under the guise of fighting our mutual enemy, but their agenda was darker than that. Fate Hollow Academy Term 2 is book two of four in the Fate Hollow Academy Series. It is a paranormal why-choose romance with all characters over the age of twenty-one. It contains mature subject matter that may not be suitable for all readers.

Term 2

Much like the first book, the second in the series is predictable and yet satisfying. This book contained more smut than the first and did have some character growth. Although it was nice seeing Wren grow and the bonds snap into place, it is still brain candy, and sometimes the plot seems to be watered down by the smut scenes that sometimes seem a little pointless and forced.

As a why-chose? novel it does very well.

A big-hearted, naïve arctic fox shifter like me couldn't have prepared for the treachery lurking within the walls of the academy. Students were going missing and turning up dead on campus. There were rumors circulating about humans infiltrating academy grounds. Seeds of fear bloomed within the student body. To make matters worse, the mate that rejected me was hellbent on painting a bright red target on my back with the help of his new girlfriend. Against all odds, I found refuge with seven irresistible supernatural men, each one more different from the last. Would the bond of my mates be enough to manifest my hidden power? Without it, I was vulnerable. And with a dragon cult attempting to wage war on humans, I had no choice but to fight.

If brain candy were a genre this would definitely qualify.

Term one sets up the series following Wren, the last arctic fox shifter, off to an elite academy for the supernatural created to prepare the for an inevitable war with the humans.

Although it is predictable, the world building and writing combine nicely to make the immersion into this world seamless.

I would suggest anyone under 18 refrain from the series as there is some decent spice (nudity, adult content, etc.) however on my personal spice sale I would say this is a 3.5 or 4 as it is necessary for the plot but is definitely more descriptive than fade to black…
