Okay, where do I begin? This has become one of my all time favorites. This novel had me so captivated. The plot, the characters, the writing, the world building, the slow burn and that ending left me wanting more. I loved the historical elements, the religious and cultural conflicts, the mythology and language that was included in the story. 

This is an epic historical fantasy with a dash of romance and smut. I mean, the tension and intimacy between Thrain and Tamsin had me wanting for more (nothing actually happens but I’m guessing that changes in the second book).

We got some wolf-lore with no shifting but instead they’re “cursed” men and women who during the seven days of the full moon they’re governed by extreme lust. It takes place in the year 870 and the writing transfers you to the era of Vikings where they’re savages and banned by the Christians. Tamsin is betrothed to Lord Aedan in order to keep the peace, who is from another kingdom and whom she has never met before. When Lord Aedan visits her to claim her, he goes with three Vikings that pose as monks in order to infiltrate and learn about them to later conquer her fort. Thrain, one of the Vikings posing as a monk, meets Tamsin and they instantly feel an attraction towards one another even though they shouldn’t be together and Tamsin doesn’t know he’s a Viking. He’s hiding his identity with a hooded cloak that monks use. From there on so many things happens and change that I won’t dive into it but if you like romance and fantasy with a heavy plot then this is for you.

This was too good omg. 

I don't know what I was expecting but holy crap this was exactly what I was looking for. 

I got everything:

*omegaverse 
*badass FMC
*alpha MMC that's also soft🥺
*some steamyness
*AND PLOT OMG
