After reading and Loving Midnight in Everwood by M.A. Kuzniar a couple of years ago I knew that I needed to read whatever she wrote next and when this one came out, I have been saving it, and this year was the year. I have been saving this to read in Cosy season and now that this is here, I decided it was time!

Frosted Star is told from the perspective of Forster who attends a lavish party with his friend Marvin and who falls for a mysterious ballet dancer he sees that night. As he tries to find out who she is he realises she has a much darker past than he could begin to imagine.

I loved the setting of this book and the wintery feel that this book had right from the start and all the way through. All the vivid descriptions jumped off the pages and made me wish that I was right there with the characters. Kuzniar has this way with words that just makes everything beautiful

This is the perfect read for snuggling up in the winter evenings, especially as the plot is so weather-dependent. The writing is beautiful and captivating; I was engrossed by the tragic fairy tale that saw romance mixed with magic. It was a great read and well-written. If you are after a winter’s tale, then look no further.

The writing is as decadent as a bite from the most indulgent chocolate cake: rich and infectiously sweet. However, parts are also like a whisper, a gentle caress upon your mind, compelling you to always read on.

Combined with the captivating characters that spiral off the page and into your heart, ensnaring for all eternity you by their bittersweet ending.
