Oh this book gave me everything I needed from Ronan. We get so much of him, his back story, all the things that shaped him into the stone cold killer he is. The poignancy in his pain brought tears to my eyes, specifically when referring to his feelings on love. 

There’s so much that I want to say... gosh it’s been a while since I’ve felt this way for a storyline. I really hate slow burns. But I couldn’t imagine Poppy and Ronan’s story any other way. It truly adds to the depth of emotion you feel while reading. These two are still so damn sexy though. The scenes that do transpire are deliciously intense and raw, giving you just enough to edge you along.

M O’Keffe has written a love that is tarnished, ragged and captivating. The plot twist is one I absolutely didn’t see, didn’t even fathom could have been part of the story. My jaw dropped. It actually dropped and my heart stopped. Chills went up my spine when the fragments of a tortured past slipped into place. You’re left with a feeling of what’s to come and that feeling is dread. Dread and the tiniest flicker of hope for these two characters that have dug under my skin and into my heart.
