I decided to reread this for the first time in many years because it checked a box on one of my annual reading challenges and I could be finished with it quickly.  I am glad I did.  It was a quick, easy read that was more like spending a day with old friends than reading a book.  I will be spending time rereading the rest of the related books.  They are cozy, comfortable, and entertaining.  If you disliked the Oprah Winfrey movie version, do not let it deter you from reading the book.  The book is so much better.
