I pray I'll never find out, but I hope I'd be half as brave and kind as Zofia under those circumstances. 

This is one of the best books about the first or second world war I have ever read. Madeline Martin writes in a way where the book exudes so much love and heart. What a heartbreaking but at the same time inspiring book. I will be thinking about this for a long time and definitely recommend everyone to read this book, especially if you don't have a lot of knowledge about what the second world war was like in Warsaw. Wonderful book. I can't wait to read more of Martin's books.
