Five Star through and through. Maddie is everything I want in a lead female. Sass and strength and determination. And Luca recognizing her worth from the get go is the type of lead man I like to see. This book was a genuine love story but jam packed with powerful women, platonic male/female friendships (WITHOUT icky jealousy tropes), found family, and the journey of healing from long term trauma and letting people in. The writing was gorgeous, and the dual POV really was a cherry on top!
