This was an excellent read and I’m glad I discovered this when I was hunting for romance labelled as 'seasoned romance'. 

I read a sample of this and honestly I read this book for Kate. She was a powerhouse. An incredible athlete who was totally owning it as head coach of the women's basketball team so it was a travesty she was battling for fair pay against a man everyone knew was in disgrace. She had a proven track record and they still wanted to pay Danny more? Yeah, I wasn't there for that. Danny wasn't to blame for that but it didn't stop sparks flying when she met him and damn was it fun.

I'm glad the hate portion of this wasn't dragged out for too long. Kate was prideful and hurt at what Danny represented but as she got to know him it was clear the sparks flying weren't them hating on each other it was all just foreplay and when they gave into their chemistry? Well damn they were good together.

The conflict in this wasn't major and was nothing related to their romance but instead it was down to the folks around them trying to stop them being together due to a silly morality clause. It was so satisfying seeing how it was resolved and through it all the pair were in it together not letting anyone make a decision for their future together but them.
