literally had no business reading this except i needed a pick me up after midterms hdjsjdj

How to lose a guy in 10 days. That's it

I don't like cheesy books. bleh

the only reason this gets 3 stars instead of 4 is bc who leaves a book on that kind of cliffhanger??? anyway, great adult novel that hits all the right spots and tugs on all the right heartstrings. it was smutty without detracting from character or plot which is a rarity in the new adult/romance genre tbh. i like katy evans books for when i'm in a reading rut or book slump - whatever you wanna call it. they're fun, quick books with dreamy guys that make you fall in love.

This review was originally posted on Addicted To Romance I was thrilled for a chance to see these two again, even if it was a shorter story. In this book, we see the conclusion to their story, and what a conclusion it was. We see them find their happy ever after, celebrating their engagement and planning their wedding. Our heroine, still has a few doubts though concerning Saint's Loyalty to her. Rachel still isn't 100% sure if she is enough for him. But Saint is 150% commited to Rachel and I love the way these two resolve some smaller issues that cement their relationship even more. We do see more depth into Saint's character, especially with his relationship with his father which is full of animosity but as you meet his father you definitely understand why they are at odds with each other. I did enjoy seeing Saint become fully honest with Rachel about his past and it really brings them closer than ever. And Rachel makes some important decisions for herself and her career. We also get some more fun times with Saint and Rachel's friends and boy I can't wait to grab up their books become I can just feel the chemistry that sizzles. The wedding is very satisfactory and definitely met up with my expectations. I had a blast reading their final story, and seeing them resolve any issues and work so well together as a couple. Ms. Manwhore is a sizzling and sexy story that gives you the full belly of romance and emotional depth. Click To Buy On Amazon [foogallery id="37890"]

This review was originally posted on Addicted To RomanceMay Contain Some Spoliers, read At your own risk . Manwhore is the beginning of a fantastic series that pulled me in like a magnetic pull and I just didn't want to turn away from these two. Now I will admit I have had this book on my kindle ever since it was published...yeah *shaking head* my bad for sure, but I wanted to read the first three books in a row since they focus on this one couple. So we have Manwhore, Manwhore +1 and Ms. Manwhore which involve our couple Saint and Rachel. Now this is one of those book that are explosive, emotional, silly and fun and simply one of the best contemporary romances you can ever pick up. In Manwhore, we have our heroine Rachel. She writes for a local newspaper, a smaller type business, but she writes on unique issues where she can be blunt and say what is exactly on her mind. But when her boss comes up with a scandalous idea, she knows that it goes against her values, but she also knows the money and name she will get will support herself and her mother. So her job: Go after Saint and find out every little detail about this "manwhore" society can't get enough of. A man more mysterious, and so thus begins Rachel and Saint's journey. Stories change. Just like people change. We change when we suffer, when we take, when we give, when we love. When you lose the object of your love, your normal will be perennially changed; there’s no returning to the old anymore. You have to rebuild stronger walls, change your expectations, and wait for the sunlight I will say that reading this book, my one reservation was I kinda knew how it ended, with a cliffhanger. Yep you heard me right, a CLIFFHANGER...and boy do I not like those unless I can read the books in order. But I was very impressed with this author in how she handles it and quite frankly it didn't end as badly as I thought it would to be honest. But of course its Katy Evans, and she can write cliffhangers in such a way that it isn't a horrible feeling, only makes you excited to pick up the next book. What really impressed me about this couple was seeing the underlaying emotions that rise to the surface in ways and moments you don't see coming. Our hero, for example is so NOT what I expected. Yes he is a bit of a playboy, but he is so much more than that. So he enjoys women....not really a crime. But what really intrigued me is how he is with Rachel after he meets her. A challenge is something you stop wanting once you acquire it. I can’t know if you’re a challenge yet until I make you mine I love how devoted he is to her even from the beginning and he is much more open to a long term relationship than she is. Of course, you see her deal with some divided loyalties...her job over her heart and I think that is the source of her reluctance. I found it interesting to see how this book plays out especially knowing beforehand what happens in the end. But what I loved most about this book was seeing their relationship develop in the way that it did. And seeing our heroine learn to trust and choose to follow her heart and make the right decision to keep the man she loved. I’d do it all again for another moment with him. I’d do it all again with him. I’d leap blindly into the air if only there were even a 0.01 percent chance that he’d still be there, waiting to catch me Its a story that will make and break hearts, its not easy, its complicated, intense, dramatic, hot as sin and one of the most compelling romances you will ever pick up.

In our continuing story of Rachel and Saint, we have Manwhore +1. So we come off from a huge cliffhanger and it just continues off from where it leaves. Saint and Rachel have to build bridges of trust again, but there is no denying how much they love each other. Rachel has hurt the man she loves even if she didn’t mean to or even plan to in the end, but it happened just the same and now she will have to show Saint the depth of her feelings for him, and that he will be her number 1. But Saint is hurt and angry and doesn’t know how to feel when he is around Rachel, but he also knows that he can’t give her up completely. I hurt this beautiful, ambitious, intelligent, generous, caring man. I used to rest my cheek where I could hear his heart. Now it’s locked behind iron doors and ten-foot walls that I put there. In Manwhore +1….this story is where we see the truth about real love, and I loved seeing these two being together. The way they have to learn to trust again and what a uneasy road that can be. But we also see that once they resolve their issues, and truly communicate, that everything just slides into place and it was so fantastic to see them come together in the right way. Of course its not a very easy road for them to travel, but you see how truly devoted they are to each other in this one even with all the pain and drama of the past. I truly just wanted MORE from this couple, because this is one of those couples that just stay with you. “Do you miss me?” He searches my face. “Do you think of me sometimes when you don’t want to…do you need me…do you still feel me?” “I feel you everywhere.” “I can’t breathe when you’re near me, but I can’t live without you.” He looks at me with his green, sparkling eyes, and I’m gone, gone, totally gone. He holds my gaze, watching me with violently tender eyes, as if he’s been living for this moment. They are beyond unforgettable. I was interested to see how Evans would play this book out compared to book one. And it truly satisfied me in every way that was needed. I love how real this book felt, in the emotion it provokes, in the reaction it conveys and the compelling writing that makes you want to sink into the pages and never let go. God, I’m in so deep. So very deep I’m almost frightened but he makes me reckless enough to want to go even deeper. There is so many vulnerabilties that we see in these characters, we see the growths and changes, the ups and downs that make them so real they practically burst from the pages in our hearts and our minds and our souls.

I WOULD HAPPILY GIVE THIS A FIVE STAR BUT THIS FUCKING ENDS IN A CLIFFHANGER

I am totally obsessed with Malcolm Saint that I totally devour the book from the first page. Katy Evans has done herself another great job in creating a sinful yet sexy read. It will be a little bit of a challenge for Rachel and Malcolm for them to continue their romance since there was dishonesty and betrayal. Reader should expected how Malcolm felt about Rachel dishonesty and betrayal since its really broke him but it takes some time and trust to rebuild their honesty between them. Rachel truly love Malcolm that she is willing to build their trust again by being totally honesty just as Malcolm as before. Find this review and more at kimberlyfaye reads . I've been dying to get my hands on this book since the wicked cliffhanger at the end of Manwhore. I was also a little concerned Malcolm would go back to his player ways and all the progress of the first book would be lost. And, really, that would've ruined the whole thing for me. I had no desire to read about him with anyone other than Rachel. Thankfully, my fears were unfounded. After finding out the truth about the article Rachel was writing, Malcolm spent more time being reckless and adventurous than hopping beds. Manwhore +1 was, more or less, exactly the continuation I wanted for Rachel and Malcolm's story. Now, I'm not going to tell you details, because it's all best experienced for yourself. It was just angsty enough to be believable without being overwhelming. The sexual tension in the beginning of the novel, as Rachel and Malcolm are reunited for business purposes, is INTENSE. Malcolm's relationship with his father comes into the forefront here, but doesn't overshadow the story between Rachel and Malcolm. The drama is great, but the romance is even better. The sexy times? So. Freaking. Hot. Rachel and Malcolm have incredible chemistry – in and out of the bedroom. This book had me swooning all over the place. It also had me overheating from time to time. I liked the progress both characters made. Where I was lukewarm to Rachel in the first book, I was anything but in this one. I liked how she took ownership of what happened with her and Malcolm. She wasn't whiny. She just wanted him back and would do whatever she could to prove to him that she was trustworthy. Malcolm was wonderful and swoony and hot as could be. Manwhore +1 doesn't end in a cliffhanger. In fact, the ending was quite satisfying – and there might have been a few happy tears. However, I'll still be chomping at the bit waiting for the next book, Ms. Manwhore. Is it October yet?!

Find this review and more at kimberlyfaye reads . I have to admit, I was a little apprehensive about this book going in. Somehow the title Manwhore was equal parts intriguing and off-putting. I think it's just because I've read my fill of books with weak women and manwhores that walk all over them and screw anything with the right bits before ultimately falling for the good girl. Sure, I've enjoyed that storyline in the past, but I'm over it (unless there's something unique about it). The good news? That is not this book AT ALL. Sure, Malcolm has quite the history as a manwhore. But we're not forced to read about it here. He's a man in the public eye, so there's always speculation, but he began to change when he met Rachel. It didn't take long before I was singing his praises. Rachel took a little while longer to warm up to, however. Malcolm was downright damn swoony. He was just alpha enough to make him untouchable, but sexy enough to make you want to do all the touching. He might have appeared detached and ruthless on the outside, but underneath it all he was a really good guy. I loved how he pursued Rachel. I have to admit I went back and forth with Rachel quite a bit during this book. I just didn't have the easy connection with her that I did with Malcolm. From their very first meeting, I was shipping Malcolm and Rachel hard. I wanted it to be about so much more than the article she was writing. They had an instant connection, and despite my somewhat mixed feelings for her, I was all about them together. Holy sexual tension. It's been awhile since I read a book that had as much as this one did. I was constantly fanning myself and telling them to get on with it. Rest assured, they did, and it was super freaking hot. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I seriously couldn't put it down once I started reading. I found myself stuck between enjoying each moment between Malcolm and Rachel and freaking out at the thought of what would happen when the other shoe dropped. I didn't want them to be over. I didn't want Malcolm to go back to his manwhore ways. I was more of a nervous wreck than I should probably admit to being. The end of this book came far too soon (and with a slightly wicked cliffhanger) and I'll be counting down the days until I find out what happens next! I received a copy of this book from the publisher, via NetGalley, in exchange for an honest review.

I had never read any books by Katy Evans but when I read the synopsis for this book I just had to get my hands on it because it sounded sooooo good. I got this to review last week and I just had to read it as soon as I can so I started reading it on the weekend and I just couldn't put this book down. It is so well written and I absolutely loved this story. There is a cliffhanger and it left me wanted to read the next book NOW!!! Unfortunately Manwhore #2 doesn't come out until July. I don't know if I can wait that long. I know this will be a book I will be reading again in the future. I highly recommend this book.

I am attracted to the title of the book. Nothing is mentally intensive. Just purely attraction between a rich guy and an ordinary woman.

Also posted at Booklovers For Life I want to cry – Malcolm and Rachel’s ending is absolute PERFECTION!!!!!! I’m so incredibly happy for this couple but I’m also so, so sad that this is the end for them. NO MORE SAINT – how can I possibly live without him!? Ms. Manwhore is a novella and the final installment in Malcolm and Rachel’s story, though we can only hope that we will have more in the Manwhore series (Tahoe and Gina!?). It’s jam-packed with all the SWOONS – Malcolm Saint fans, you are going to DIE of happiness in this novella. I laughed, I smiled, I melted… I honestly can’t imagine a better ending for Rachel and Malcolm than what Katy Evans gives us! Is love like this? Where you keep falling and falling, every day that you look into his eyes? This novella picks up straight from the ending of Manwhore +1, after Malcolm has proposed to Rachel. These two are now finally getting their much deserved happily ever after, and they’re scrambling to get to the wedding. Wedding preparations, dress picking, bachelor(ette) parties – it’s going to be HUGE. Rachel doesn’t really need this big spectacle of a wedding, but only the best for Malcolm Saint’s soon-to-be wife, right? “Do you realize this is something I never thought I’d want? I can’t think of anything else but making you my wife. My priority is merging your life with mine.” Could Malcolm Saint BE any more perfect!? I thought he couldn’t after Manwhore +1, but Katy Evans proves me wrong… AGAIN. I loved everything about this book – Malcolm, Rachel, their wedding… My heart nearly couldn’t handle the pure happiness radiating from the pages. “I can’t wait to make you my lady. Your smiles drive me crazy.” It’s not necessary to read Ms. Manwhore, but if you loved the first two books, you absolutely DO NOT want to miss this! While I was reading it, I couldn’t stop smiling, and my heart was just bursting with happiness by the time I got to the end. It’s a bittersweet ending for sure, since I don’t want to let go of these characters, but I’m so thankful Katy Evans wrote this novella – I can say goodbye to Malcolm and Rachel with a smile on my face! I have a future to look forward to. I have a storm to catch. A leap to make. A man to love. A Sin to take. And I’ve never looked forward to something in my life like I look forward to MALCOLM KYLE PRESTON LOGAN SAINT. Quotes are taken from the ARC and are subject to change in the final version. Originally posted at Booklovers For Life Oh. My. GOD!! AAHHHH!!!! YES – Manwhore +1 is absolute perfection! This book was everything I wanted and more. I had such high expectations after LOVING Manwhore (one of my favorite reads of the year), and Manwhore +1 went above and beyond. I loved this book so, so much. Malcolm Kyle Preston Logan Saint. I just walked into the eye of the most powerful storm of my life. No. Not a storm. A hurricane. Four weeks, I haven’t seen him. And he still looks exactly as I remember. Larger than life, and more irresistible than ever. Manwhore +1 picks up right where Manwhore left off (in that god-awful cliffhanger), and Rachel is determined to win back Malcolm Saint and his affection and trust. I honestly was a bit scared about the way the sequel would play out – would Saint be able to forgive Rachel? Would they get back together? I NEEDED them to get back together! “Yes. But I want you to trust me.” “Trust you? Rachel, I don’t trust myself with you.” I wipe a stray tear. “I want dibs on you,” I whisper, broken. I shouldn’t have worried though, because Katy Evans wrote their story perfectly. It may not have been what I expected, but it absolutely was the right story for Rachel and Malcolm. I don’t want to say much about the plot, but one thing I will say is that you can trust Katy Evans to deliver a book you will wholeheartedly love and enjoy! I wasn’t expect how HAPPY this book would make me – I was grinning and swooning and sighing nearly the whole way through. Mainly because of Malcolm, because how can you not love this man!? The chemistry is as scorching as ever between Rachel and Malcolm. If anything, I thought they were HOTTER in Manwhore +1 than in Manwhore! There are lots of yummy, panty-melting, heart-melting scenes between Malcolm and Rachel. I fell so hard for them and their story. I was swept away by their gorgeous romance and the wondrousness of their love – theirs is a love story you don’t want to miss. “Take me,” I breathe. “I’m taking you.” “Use me. Do anything you want to me.” “No,” he says chidingly. “You use something you discard. And I’ll never be done with you.” Oh, Malcolm. I fell so much deeper and harder for this man in Manwhore +1. The things he says and does… He took my breath away and stole my heart. Malcolm is THE alpha-male of alpha-males – Katy Evans writes her heroes like no other. Malcolm is the type of character that comes across so clearly off the pages, and his power and sensuality captivated me all over again. I LOVE THIS MAN! “Do you know what I’d do for you?” A huskiness enters his voice as he circles my chin with his thumb. “You’re the only heaven I will ever know, Rachel”–He looks into my eyes–“and if you were a hell, I’d sin my whole life just to stay with you.” MY. HEART. Malcolm Saint is to die for!!! <3 <3 <3 Once again, Katy Evans delivers a captivating, addicting, sexy read I devoured in one sitting. I can’t seem to not love her books! There are definitely obstacles that Rachel and Malcolm need to overcome before reaching their HEA, but Katy Evans deals with them in such a way that made for a seamless, perfect read. I shouldn’t have worried whether I would love this book as much as the previous – Manwhore +1 was flawless. I can’t recommend this series enough! It’s definitely one of my top favorites, and I can’t WAIT for more. I’m dying for Ms. Manwhore… and dare I say a Tahoe and Gina book? In any case, whatever Katy Evans writes, I will read. Also posted at Booklovers For Life Oh lordy LORD!!! WOW!!!! Katy Evans does it again! I freaking fell. in. LOVE. with Manwhore! Holy moly, I’m kind of obsessed with this book right now. And I’m a LOT obsessed with Malcolm Saint. Whew, just saying his name gives me the shivers (the good kind). I honestly have no freaking clue how Katy Evans is able to create such sexy alpha-male heroes that I fall so hard for, but I can only hope that she never stops! “I’ve heard of him,” I admit, starting to get nervous. “I wouldn’t live in Chicago if I didn’t.” Ruthless, they say. A complete manwhore, they say. And so ambitious he’d put Midas to shame. Oh yeah. They say Saint won’t rest until he owns the world. Malcolm Kyle Preston Logan Saint. He’s the hottest entrepreneur and bachelor of Chicago, and Rachel Livingston, a reporter, has secretly been assigned to delve into his world of money and sin and write up an exclusive exposé. It’s an exposé that will make or break her career, but she has no idea that Malcolm Saint will change her life. She never expects for the hottest manwhore alive to actually pursue HER. In that black suit and without a tie, the top button of his shirt open and his hair a bit rumpled, Saint is the embodiment of luxurious and decadent and sin. He is Sin Itself and I feel like an absolute . . . virgin. God. Malcolm. I love this man. His last name may be Saint, but he’s a sinner at heart. I was utterly enthralled by Malcolm’s character. He just resonates power, sex, money, and intrigue. When Rachel and Malcolm meet, there’s a scorching hot chemistry between them. My heart just couldn’t stop pounding every time Rachel and Malcolm were in the same room together!!! I was dying for them to act on their lust, because I knew that it would be explosive. “Rachel, there’s nothing I won’t do to get you in my bed,” he says, his eyes hot and hungry. Oh my goodness. I don’t even know how to describe how utterly and completely Malcolm owns my heart. He is pure, raw alpha-male, and you can’t NOT fall for him! The things he says and does will have you blushing and your heart melting. He’s the perfect combination of sexy, possessive alpha-male and adoring man falling in love! Gah, I adored Malcolm Saint! “I’ve never wanted to rock a woman’s world the way I want to rock yours. … I indulge in anything that I want. I’m not in the business of denying myself what I want. I’m not in the business of denying those around me of anything they want. I’m yours if you want me, Rachel.” Rachel was a sweetheart of a heroine. I loved her inner monologues, how she tries to resist Malcolm, but can’t. I was a fan of her character from the get-go. She’s kind, stubborn, driven – she’s a character that I genuinely liked. But when she starts falling for Malcolm (because how can she not?), she’s caught between a rock and a hard place: having the love of her life at the risk her job, or exposing Malcolm’s secrets and risk losing him forever. This wan’t part of my plan. I’m supposed to write an exposé about him, not let him expose me. Katy Evans rocks! It seems I can’t read a book by her and not love it. I was swept away by the seductive, alluring Malcolm Saint and by the sexy yet sweet romance. I was riveted to this book from the very first page. If I had to describe Manwhore in a few words, it would be: enthralling and unputdownable. Manwhore is NOT a standalone though – Rachel and Malcolm’s story continues in Manwhore +1, and July 7th CANNOT get here fast enough!! Blog | Twitter | Instagram I went into Manwhore fully intending to hate it. This was a novel I picked up on a whim to cure a massive book hangover I'd been having for a few weeks. I never expected to like it, let alone love it. After-all, its plots are full of frequently used devices, tropes and all those bloody archetypes that grow more and more tedious with every passing day. We get it! Bad boy is tamed by a good girl. The thing that surprised me about Manwhore was it was a total cliche but still gave me reason to turn the pages. One that came into its own in a way that is very, very satisfying to a reader. Katy Evans spins a sizzling tale that is smart, sexy and quick on its feet. It only helps that it takes place in Chicago, a city that I love immensely. To describe the plot of Manwhore, I'd have to sum it up as a very steamy spin on How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days. They're not identical in plots but I think the general premise will be appealing to those who love a good romp and the feel that comes with the now-classic romantic comedy. Manwhore is a lot more serious than I expected but also not serious at all. I'm sure you're thinking the same thing I am: " Jessica, that makes no sense. " I'm not going to apologize, though, because that's the only way I can describe it. Evans mixes business, pleasure, heart and everything in between. Not unlike the tone that Sylvia Day writes in--she'll captivate you with the romance that blossoms against odds between Malcolm and Rachel. Continued: BOOKEDJ

Blog | Twitter | Instagram | Be safe with me. Reckless with me. Be who you are with me. Much like with its predecessor, I found my expectations surprisingly shattered in the best possible way with Katy Evans lovestory. Manwhore +1 is entirely as fun and steamy as Manwhore and this time, there's a lot more romance and resolution to be found. While the story at its core is highly clichéd and a bit unbelievable, it is still likable and captivating. And if you loved the first novel in the series, you'll be positively enamored by the sequel and all the love and growth that materializes before our eyes. Manwhore +1 is ultimately more heartfelt in its central plot that the first book. It takes a look around and improves itself--the main romance is expanded after they are reunited and make peace with the article and its aftermath. Everything in this novel is put to the test and the growth we see looking back at the start, to that ending, is a great example of what romance writers can learn. I found myself rooting even more for Rachel and Malcolm, something I thought not possible--as I was already cheering them on in the first installment. Are you ready to be a sinner? Because I know I am. Full of steamy moments and sharp dialogue, Manwhore +1 is in it to win it. Continued: BOOKEDJ

Blog | Twitter | Instagram | Because I love him. Because when I look into his eyes, nothing else exists but him. Because even when I don’t look into his eyes, nothing else exists but him. From hot and heavy to sweet and heartfelt, Katy Evans has a way of getting her readers invested in her stories. Manwhore was good and surprised me, Manwhore +1 furthered my interest in the love story between Rachel and Malcolm and I've heard nothing but good things about many of her other novels. But, Ms. Manwhore was pretty lackluster and a bit too clichéd compared to the first two installments . I just felt very bored the entire time I read it--because it wasn't awful but it just wasn't filled with the same spark as the first two of the series. If it had been a full-length novel, perhaps their "happily ever after" would have compelled me more. As happy as I was to see how their story tied up I do wish it wasn't a novella; there was so much more of a story to tell about their vows and the wedding. I felt like something was missing the entire time I was reading it and even though I did enjoy it for the most part, I just think it could have been better. Perhaps, I was just picky about it. Am I the only one who DNF this book???! (Long Rant) I had high hopes for this one since I liked the author other stories. But from the start I was turned off, I kept reading hoping it would get better, but I couldn't keep going. I didn't like what a doormat Rachel was, how it seems she was willing to do anything for her job. Saint was a sanctimonious prick, couldn't stand him from page one! The book just reminds me of "Fifty Shades Of Grey". A reporter who wants to interview a businessman/manwhore and he ends up stalking her and of course she keeps blushing.... Shit even the beginning is the same! Seriously, I prefer Fifty Shades (Unfortunately). And the writing! I really really REALLY hate it. TOO MUCH USELESS DESCRIPTION. And the way Racheal kept talking to herself was really pissing me off. Also her friends were annoying and childish. They are in their 20's and they are acting like 12 year old?? I really wanted to love this book, but the truth is I just can't respect a weak heroine. I felt no connection with the characters whatsoever and Saint really did nothing for me. Can't even rate 1 star 0/5
