Okay, so I never give less than 3 stars to a book I actually finish (or any book except for 1 for that matter) but I’m making an exception here.
This book is horrible. The main character is so incredibly unlikable I have no idea why I finished this book.
I had hoped she’d be like Alesandra from The shadows between us, but she’s not even close.
I also had hoped her relationship with Ale would be a redeeming feature, but nope.
I mean, it’s great writing to have someone so incredibly unlikable, and it must have been fun as hell to write, but dude... for readers, this wasn’t great.
Also, the story to me is just weird and the blurb incredibly misleading. It’s not queer in the sense you want it to be. In fact, it’s not even a thing. It’s nice it’s noted, but really, I feel like that was almost a marketing ploy so it could be mentioned.
This book is not a fun read. It’s not a nice read. It is short, thankfully, but I would not and will not recommend it. In fact, it was almost unreadable. Sorry.
