Carthage, 6th century BC. Ariadna, daughter of the philosopher Pythagoras, receives a scroll with news that embodies the worst of her nightmares. The terrible message includes an inverted pentacle, the abominable symbol that represents the opposite of the lofty teachings of her father. Immediately a spiral of murders unleashes from a powerful and ruthless mind. Spain, present day. Irina, Daniel and Elena investigate the limits of the brain and the possibility of increasing its capacity. When they meet through Mensa - the largest world organization of the gifted -, they discover that nothing is what it seems and that they are the decisive pieces of a war that began 2,500 years ago. In both eras, the protagonists will try to discover the identity of their enemy before he kills them all... but they will find answers which they are not prepared for.
