enjoyed how each chapter felt like a snapshot of the life the character created. Almost felt like reading a diary and created such a sense of nostalgia for a life I didn’t live. Made me miss the simpler days at the start of the novel. The first book I’ve read by Atwood but the effortless storytelling has inspired me to read more

Again, I only remember bits of this, although I'm more sure that I finished it than I am that I finished Cat's Eye. Yikes.

Not every story was amazing, but on the whole the collection was warm and inviting- at time sad and others brought a chuckle. Atwood is consistently great, and I am excited I still have so much more of her writing to read.
