Stella is stricken with a disease that leaves her paralyzed within her own body. She is unable to communicate except through blinking. Eventually she recovers and realizes that while she was out of commission, a lot had changed in her marriage, in her relationship with her children and in her other aspects of life. Eventually a book is published about her ordeal and she becomes a public figure of sorts. That is not without its price either. This book was good, Irishchick/women's fiction. Keyes is a foremost writer in this genre. Her characters are flawed, believable and interesting. Readers will fill invested in Stella and want things to work out for her. This book has romance, humor and a plot that is filled with interesting twists. I enjoyed it. I received a copy of this book from Amazon Vine in exchange for a honest review.

Brilliantly written, very captivating with a healthy mix of romance and drama, generally I like a thriller but this book had me on my toes. Super loveable characters who genuinely make you belly laugh!

I love Marian Keyes.and while this one wasn't up to masterpieces such as Rachel's Holiday or Is Anybody Out There (her best in my humble opinion, check it out, it's amaaaaazing), I quite enjoyed it. Recommended.

Fantastic book ! 
I can’t speak highly enough about it ! 

As a rule I don’t usually got for books of this Genre mainly sticking to YA contemporary, and big books scare me 😂 , but I found this to be a truly gripping and fast read novel also very relatable at times . 

A quote from this book that will always stick with me and gave me realisation of my own journey 

“ I fell in love with an intense charismatic man. He was way out of my league and when it ended it nearly killed me , but every woman should experience that sort of love one in their lives” 

Will definitely be picking up another Marian Keyes book In the future

Stella Sweeny is back in Dublin. After living the dream in New York for a year - touring her self-help book, appearing on talk shows all over the USA and living it up in her 10-room duplex on the Upper West Side - she's back to normality with a bang. And she's got writer's block

I wanted to like this and I was so excited that I was able to buy this in the UK before the U.S. release. It just didn't work for me. While Keyes is a brilliant storyteller, the way the book was written (going back and forth between the main characters book and present day then the past got thrown in there as well) was confusing and choppy. None of the characters had any sympathetic redeeming qualities that made me want to root for them - I just wanted all of them to go away! It took a lot for me to finish this one. I may just stick to her earlier books.
