So I read this book when I was in 7th grade and all I had remembered from it was that I really liked it. I decided to re-read it and see how it went. 

For starters, I want to say that I did like the book and I can see why I liked it in 7th grade. It was cool. It is a great fantasy book, full of action and magic. The thing about it now though is that the way it's written made me feel that it's probably not for my age level anymore. Another problem I had was that the author used the same words over and over and I also felt the book should have been longer to give the reader a chance to take everything in. I felt the author rushed through everything and the reader didn't fully get to experience what was happening throughout the story.

Imagine if you were able to change history. By altering one tiny thing you could start a chain of catastrophic events. Ethan is one of the Named, fated to stop this ever happening, although the forces of chaos have other ideas and Ethan is finding it more and more difficult to stay one step ahead. He is also a normal schoolboy, whose life is rapidly becoming far too confusing. So when Isabel arrives on the scene she is only going to make matters worse . . . or is she? This is history in the making - literally.
