I was given this book about four years ago and began to read about a paragraph every morning with my quiet time, but over time I would just forget. Well when I left for college, I brought all the books I had never finished or never started and this was one of them. I had made it to chapter six, but a week ago I just decided to start from the beginning. Once I started I couldn’t put it down. I’m normally not one to read the religious self-help books, but I thought I would give it a try and I absolutely loved it. Mark Batterson’s voice throughout the book was hilarious. He actually made me laugh out loud at some points and I could actually relate to some of the things he talked about. It really made me think about some of the decisions I’d been making and some choices I had made in order to run away from opportunity. Growing up in the church, this book really opened my eyes to my future and how God is involved in it and reminded me that I can plan out everything… the unplanned parts are where God gets to shine through the most. Over break I brought this book home so that my mom and brother could read it I strongly recommend it!
