I feel very sorry for Mr. Booth. It's not often that I have to describe a book as a train wreck that I just couldn't look away from.
Actually, the fabulous narrator, Richard Powell, is the only reason I kept listening.
Mr. Booth manages to find a secret, hidden meaning behind every verse of the Bible. This meaning also happens to correspond with various other myths and/or religious beliefs that no sensible person would have ever comparators much less say that they were in sync with each other. Booth has to make extreme acrobatic moves just to get from one point to another. These points, by the way, he declares and leaves completely unsupported. His act of saying them must mean that they are true. 
Also, I take issue with his use of the word "history." Only by stretching the meaning of the word beyond belief (as he does with the rest of the book) could this book be construed as "history." 
I definitely do not recommend this book and also warn anyone who thinks they might be picking up a history of secret societies. It's definitely not that.
