This was a fast little romp of a story that I've been told is very important to the plot of Holy Sister, the third installment in Book of the Ancestor. It was a fun, fairly light read with lots of kissing. I'll be interested to see how relationship developments in this story play a role in the climax of Nona's series.

A slow start, but paid off in the end

Short stories can be harder to write than novels, and I think this is a pretty good demonstration. In no way is this a bad story, but I felt it stumbled a little bit at the beginning. It initially didn't feel like I was in the world I'd spent the last two books in. By the end however, that had rectified itself and it became a thoroughly enjoyable story. What I don't know it's whether it was written before or after the third book. I'll be very interested to see how some developments in this story feature in the third book, or not as the case may be. Still very much worth a read.

I loved being back with the nuns! My only complaint is that it was too short. This is one of my all time favorite series.

Incredibly contrived plot! I did enjoy it, so it gets three stars, but wow that was so unbelievably contrived - not worthy of the perfection of the rest of the series (this is only a short story). But yes, it was fun, so it's okay.
